Eiko's heart was racing with excitment and adrenilin, not a good thing when one is bleeding profusely. Yanagi had reacted exactly as Eiko had hoped she would and so escape seemed likely though she was still not in the clear yet. She was bleeding heavily and although she had avoided a fatal wound losing too much blood would result in feeling faint and dizzy, her escape wouldn't have any chance if she was too wobbly to hit her target so she needed to act with haste. She limply allowed herself to be placed in the recovery position and tried to calm herself. She could feel the sword tip on her skin, Yanagi was still cautious.
Eiko's eyes snapped open, there was no time to plan, now was time for fast action even if it was a little reckless. She reached up, her silk coated arm moving like a striking snake, grabbing for the blade of the sword that was trained on her. She would risk another wound or two to hurt this girl and make her swift retreat. She aimed to snatch the blade and pull herself up on it to kick Yanagi sharply in the face without a care for the damage being done to her hand. She needed to get to the bandages and get out of there quickly so she would have to keep the punishment Yanagi needed short and sweet.

Okay, so she hadn’t considered the possibility that Eiko would put herself into the path of more pain when there was a far less harmful option. Yanagi berated herself briefly – she may still be a kid, but a shinobi’s a shinobi. And ninja are inherently reckless...well, that was what Yanagi knew from her own experiences and decisions, anyway.
At the instant Yanagi registered Eiko moving, she’d started turning her sword into a position that could deal a lot more damage with a single twitch of her wrist. She barely saw the kick, and cussed in a way that a few hundred years ago would have had her thrown into whatever ‘mild’ humiliating punishment was popular at the time as her head snapped to her side, jaw and cheek protesting in no uncertain terms.
Still, the attack had started to knock her backwards, and while she was still moving, she tugged one of her legs out from under her from when she’d been kneeling and, slightly awkwardly, aimed a vicious kick at Eiko’s head with her shin, purposefully ripping the sword out of the white-haired ninja’s grasp with the intent of tearing her hand open as she did so.
As the snarling kunoichi landed on her back, she had already started curving up into the beginnings of a sitting position to try and avoid making herself more vulnerable to attack, coiling up to her feet in less time it took for her to smile and knock someone out. And that in itself took less than two seconds.
‘Okay, now I’m hacked off. Stupid little...’ Yanagi blanked out her mental bad mouthing, concentrating on Eiko. She wasn’t going to let the girl escape without a hell of a lot of hassle, but she knew better than to entertain the presumptuous thought that she would definitely detain her. She believed strongly in luck and sod’s law, after all.

The satisfaction Eiko found in the sharp contact her foot made with Yanagi's face nullified the biting of the blade she grasped in her hand. That was until the sword was wrenched from her grip, tearing her palm open and shredding a few muscles and tendons. Instantly Eiko realised that the movement of her hand was compromised, particularly the movement of her thumb. She was going to have difficulty handling small projectiles like senbon and forming handseals. She'd have scalded herself for not being careful enough but she received her own vicious kick to the head. She felt the boney lower leg collide with her head, knocking her skull around and causing a ringing sound to fill her ears.
She fell backwards, struggling to gather herself together after the confusing blow and the two quite damaging wounds. She scrabbled for senbon with her uninjured hand and made swiftly to launch them in quick succession at the ferocious looking Konoha ninja. She was backing slowly towards her pack. She needed to stem the blood flow or risk losing conciousness for real. Yanagi was putting up a harsher fight than she had imagined at first. She had indeed underestimated her from the beginning and now she had suffered for making the error.
In general Eiko was feeling drained, considering she was bleeding a fair bit it wasn't all that surprising but she had vented a lot of emotion she'd managed to push away to the forgotten creveses of her mind, she felt numb on some levels after it all but on a more physical level she ached all over. She didn't know how much longer she could do this, keeping her eyes fierce and determined was rather difficult in itself.

Yanagi flicked her drawn sword, shaking away a few of the excess drops of blood that were clinging to the blade. “Don’t you know that the dangerous part of a sword is the sharp end?” She growled through a slightly malicious smile. If it weren’t for the pain in her arm, face and neck, Yanagi might be enjoying the little fight. As it was, she was instead quite annoyed, which often resulted in her bad-tempered remarks.
Deciding to hurry up and catch the little bloodthirsty imp so she could be thrown into a prison cell - ‘Or Ibiki’s interrogation room...’ Her less forgiving side thought – so that she’d be taken off Yanagi’s hands, the leaf nin darted forwards, utilising most of her speed, snapping like a sling-shot around Eiko at the last moment, aiming to get behind her again and make the girl disorientated so that taking her out with a sharp smack to the head from the hilt of Yanagi’s sword would be easier. All she had to do then was drag the unconscious lump to Hokage Tower, provided she got as far as knocking Eiko out.
[OOC: short post, but meh, it's a fight.]

Eiko disregarded the girls remark with the same annoyance she felt whenever people spoke unnessecarily. Yanagi's sudden forward busrt was anticipated but Eiko couldn't be sure were she was heading until she got there and so decided to hold back rather than waste energy with a half guessed pre-empative attack. When the konoha nija darted behind her she wasted no time in leaping into the air and lightly flipping herself over so that she was facing Yanagi's back. Her small, light frame made this easy and as she moved through the air her blood soaked kimono rustled gently.
She risked launching another sharp kick at the older girls back before turning to grab her pack. She was ready to turn tail and run when she noticed the closed metal fan glinting in the sunlight. She had kept on clasped in her hand the whole way through her act of fainting but she had dropped the other to grab the sword in her attack. She refused to just leave it here, she valued it greatly as a weapon and for it's sentimental signifigance. She flicked open the fan she had crammed in her sleeve in her search for senbon moments ago and began concentrating chakra into it. She fired of a couple of quick blasts of razor sharp wind chakra with the intention of cutting through yanagi to the weapon beyond in the midst of the clearing.

When Yanagi’s strike to Eiko’s head missed, she let her momentum continue spinning her around so that she faced the younger ninja. She leapt back almost immediately, arching away from Eiko’s kick to avoid bruising her ribs too badly, slashing at Eiko’s leg with her sword in reflexive retaliation.
Yanagi cussed, twisting away from the chakra-enforced wind and wincing when the edge of the attack slit into the skin of her stomach, cutting clean through skin and into muscle. Her angered growl pulled her lips back, showing her teeth. They were slightly more refined; leaning towards carnivorous, with longer, sharper canines. The animalistic vision vanished behind a plume of fire as Yanagi belted out a fireball towards the white-haired chuunin. It was relatively small – about Eiko’s height – but the amount of chakra had refined it greatly, giving it speed and just as much power and destructive capability as a larger attack.

Eiko withdrew her leg quickly, minimalising the damage done from the slash of Yanagi's blade, another shallow slice in her skin was the result. She smiled sadisticly when she saw her attack do it's damage to the kunoichi. It felt good to hurt people who had pissed her off in a sick sick way. How she had moved away from the quiet vengeful girl she had once been to the near insane sadist with an obsession for silence would require some thought next time she had a moment of reflection for herself.
Eiko was oblivious to the animalistic change displayed by Yanagi as she was focusing purely on retrievcing her treasured weapon. She charged froward recklessy, arm drawn ready to slash out with the fan on which she was concentrating more chakra. The fireball was shocking and took her by surprise but she merely shifted her sprint to the side and made to dart round her, heading directly for the fan. Yanagi was no longer her target, merely an obstacle she needed to overcome to escape this with little more than a few wounds albeit the wounds she had already received where making this whole escape buisness rather more difficult. Her vision was beginning to blur as she stooped to grab the small metal object that lay on the lush green grass.

Yanagi spun, constantly keeping her eyes on Eiko, except for the moment when they skipped ahead of her to a glinting in the grass. ‘The fan?’ She thought, already making the single necessary hand seal to divert the sprinting kunoichi.
‘Body Flicker really comes in handy sometimes,’ Yanagi thought vaguely, appearing on top of the fallen weapon, tensed to absorb the impact should Eiko run right into her. Which, given the time and speed the younger ninja was moving at, was a distinct possibility.
She’d seen the white-haired girl already reaching for the weapon before Yanagi had moved, so the Leaf shinobi appeared in place stooped to grab Eiko’s wrist. If this worked, Yanagi would be able to use Eiko’s own momentum to literally throw her away. That strategy appealed to her, especially as the wounds in her stomach protested to her. After that she might have to hold the fan hostage...but hey, if that worked and she could capture Eiko, then Yanagi wasn’t too bothered by the childishness of her tactics.
